IP Unity Builds Success in Enterprise VoIP Solutions and Deployments; Carrier-Grade Reliability, Innovative Enterprise Features Fuel Deployments and Partnerships
MILPITAS, Calif — May 22, 2006— –(BUSINESS WIRE)--IP Unity, the leader in carrier-grade media servers, application servers and real-time multimedia applications, is becoming a major provider of enterprise VoIP solutions for large businesses and educational campuses in North America and Europe, the company announced today. Since late 2004, IP Unity has focused and expanded its offerings, resources and partner suite to provide value for enterprises. Recent market successes now show the results of this effort. Large enterprises are demanding carrier grade, highly scalable platforms to serve their needs for high productivity and cost-effectiveness.

The deployment weds an IP Unity Mereon(R) 6000 Media Server, Mereon Unified Messaging, Text-to-Speech, Find Me-Follow Me, Web Conferencing and other innovative features with the University's Intecom PointSpan 6880 PBX, and already serves over 18,000 users. VoicePlus was instrumental in supporting 'Train the trainer' user classes at the university as the solution was rolled out to this large university user population.
Together, IP Unity and VoicePlus offer integrated solutions based on both the carrier-scaled Mereon 6000 Media Server and the more modular Mereon 3000 Media Server.
