IP Unity Glenayre® Appoints Steve Whipps New Senior Vice President of Sales for EMEA

Duluth, Georgia — May 30, 2007— IP Unity Glenayre, Inc., a leader in delivering carrier-grade messaging and multimedia solutions over IP, TDM and enterprise networks, announced the expansion of its global sales force today with the appointment of Steve Whipps as Senior Vice President, EMEA Sales.

Steve Whipps is a thirty year veteran of the telecommunications industry. He brings a wealth of experience and deep knowledge of carrier services and applications from companies such as Cisco and AT&T. He recently served as the President EMEA and Latin America at Riverstone Networks, where his responsibilities included sales and other regional objectives for the carrier-based Metro Ethernet solutions market. Prior to Riverstone, Mr. Whipps was Vice President of Sales EMEA for CIENA Corporation, where he focused on driving best practices in sales excellence and growing the business.

As Senior Vice President, EMEA Sales, Steve Whipps is responsible for the development and execution of sales strategy and channel partners within the EMEA Region. IP Unity Glenayre has over 20% of its installed base in this region with strong growth currently being experienced in Africa and the Middle East.
