IP Unity Glenayre Completes Merger, Names Executive Management Team

MILPITAS, Calif. and ATLANTA, Georgia — January 3, 2007— IP Unity Glenayre, the new leader in delivering carrier–grade messaging and multimedia solutions over IP, TDM and enterprise networks, announced today that the IP Unity acquisition of Glenayre Messaging from Glenayre Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: GEMS) is now final, completing the transaction announced on December 14, 2006.

The newly consolidated company serves a diverse global customer base of over 2000 deployments covering 300 wireline telco, cable, wireless and FMC service providers, as well as large enterprises and public agencies. The company delivers a strong portfolio of rich media services, and supports an unrivaled breadth of advanced applications for IMS enabled and other carrier grade environments.
