IP Unity Glenayre Drives Quarter Over Quarter Growth in 2007
2007 Success Fueled by Merger Integration Achievements, Fortified Management Team and Healthy Sales Across the Portfolio, a Great Foundation for 2008Duluth, Ga. — January 28, 2008— IP Unity Glenayre, Inc., a leader in delivering carrier-grade messaging and multimedia solutions over IP, TDM and enterprise networks, announced today that the company experienced sequential quarter over quarter growth throughout 2007. This achievement signals healthy demand for IP Unity Glenayre’s solutions and is further evidence of the company’s commitment to messaging, media and mobility. With deployments in over 75 countries, IP Unity Glenayre markets and supports messaging, collaboration and rich media solutions worldwide.
The company also expanded its senior management team with seasoned veterans to enable the company to execute on its growth strategies. The two most recent additions to the team are Jay Whitehurst who has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President of products and technology. A seasoned technology veteran, Whitehurst is responsible for new product development for the company’s complete portfolio of messaging collaboration and rich media solutions that offer extended mobility, personalization and interaction. With extensive global business experience, Whitehurst has a proven track record of establishing vision and developing strategy to drive change. His technical leadership in multi-billion dollar businesses includes key positions with GENBAND, Tekelec, Axes Technologies and Nortel Networks.
Also joining the organization as Chief Financial Officer is Kathy Miller. With more than 15 years of experience in the software industry, she has extensive experience in financial management, software and hardware accounting, mergers and acquisitions, SEC regulatory operations and reporting, Sarbanes Oxley compliance and driving operational efficiency. Prior to joining IP Unity Glenayre, Miller served as the Senior Vice President of Global Finance and Accounting at Witness Systems (acquired by Verint, Inc. in May 2007), where she grew the finance department to scale with the business as it increased from $20 million to over $200 million in annual revenue.
2007 Achievements – a Year in Review

Highlights of 2007 include:
- The Company achieved sequential and year over year quarterly sales growth throughout the year
- Key customers renewed their commitment to our products and our company by expanding current deployments as well as buying and deploying new solutions
- We unveiled a new VideoCALL solution, designed to connect video calls from 3G-enabled handsets to non-video phones. The solution also introduced a unique advertising and promotion capability that expands the value of video telephony over 3G networks.
- We expanded the capabilities of our next-generation Versera ICE platform, enabling carriers to enhance their offering with a suite of advanced applications for service differentiation.
- We launched Version 4.0 of our Unified Messaging and Conferencing solution, with key features for text and video messaging, scalability and controls for conferencing services, and more extensive data collaboration tools.
- We continued to build out a stellar executive team, including the addition of our CEO Oscar Rodriguez, a visionary with a long history of success in the communications industry
- We earned Communications Solutions Product of the Year award from the previous year.
- We were named to the 2007 “Pulver 100” for the sixth consecutive year
